Welcome to CCE
Automatic color-to-grayscale conversion for your print workflow. Cut print costs without changing how you print.
Welcome to CCE
Contextual Color Engine (CCE) automatically converts non-essential color pages to black & white before they reach your printer — preserving every page where color actually matters: photographs, charts, diagrams, highlighted text, exhibit stamps, engineering callouts.
You print to CCE Printer exactly the way you'd print to any other printer. CCE handles the rest.

What CCE does
Print shops typically charge 5×–10× more per color page than per B&W page. On a 50-page document with one logo on the cover, that markup is wasteful.
CCE intercepts every job sent to CCE Printer and decides per page — not per document — whether color is meaningful. Pertinent color pages keep their color. Decorative color pages are converted to true grayscale. The decision is fully audited: you can see what kept color, what didn't, and why.
How it works
From any Windows application — Word, Adobe, AutoCAD — select CCE Printer as your printer. Your job is saved as a PDF to a watch folder.
CCE's engine runs five evidence streams on each page (visual, semantic, cross-page references, document context, lexical) and makes a per-page color or B&W decision.
The processed PDF is sent to your real printer (or opened in Adobe for review, depending on your forwarding mode). A tray notification tells you how many pages were converted and how much was saved.
Who it's for
- Law firms printing exhibits, depositions, and expert reports
- Engineering and architecture practices printing structural reports, shop drawings, and technical specifications
- Any office where color print costs are a measurable line item
Privacy
CCE is fully local. Every document, every page, and every analysis result stays on the machine you installed it on. CCE does not connect to any external service for processing.
